The London Feminist Network is a women-only networking and campaigning organisation, formed in 2004 to unite
We work closely with other groups in London, supporting various Feminist campaigns in order that we can broaden our movement and work together for women's rights and against patriarchy in all its forms.
Membership of the LFN is free. We actively welcome women from all backgrounds and seek to fully reflect the diversity of our city.
We aim to meet monthly where possible, to share news, listen to guest speakers, plan campaigns and demonstrations, network and support each other. We are new and vibrant group, there is plenty of opportunity to get involved in direct campaigning and organising work - join us and make a difference! We keep in touch via a Yahoo group e.mail. If you would like to join our e.mail group and be part of the London Feminist Network please contact us or join the yahoo group online at our yahoo group home page.
We have organised pickets against pro-pornography films, we organised a day conference on women's rights for activists in London, we have been present with our huge purple and white banner on marches and demonstrations against war on Iraq, against racism and for peace. The largest event we organise is the annual Reclaim The Night march against rape and male violence.
The Reclaim The Night march is held in central London every year to mark the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on the 25th November. We are always looking for committed women to help us organise this huge event. Please see the Reclaim The Night pages via the navigation buttons on the left hand side to learn more about this event and how you can be part of it.
The London Feminist Network are an active member of the new End Violence Against Women Coalition, headed by Amnesty International UK and the Women's National Commission. See website for details.
