Store Wars

Free Range Studios presents - Store Wars:

Supermarket Secrets
The following documentary is in two parts, and was first screened on Channel 4. The first part deals with Factory Farming, chickens, and general quality of supermarket food. This second part deals with Cows milk, food standards, food waste, pesticides, food globalization, and loss of quality of our produce. Journalist Jane Moore investigates how supermarkets have changed the the type of food we eat, and shows signs that the food we buy may not have been grown in the way we think. How many miles did the sprouts grown by your local farmer fly before they reached the supermarket shelves? What kind of contraints do supermarkets place on dairy and arable farmers? Why do supemarket strawberries last forever, and tast so bland? These excellent documentaries will answer these questions, plus many more you never knew you should ask about.
